About
Our Services and Team
What is our treatment approach?
It is for those who have not recovered from the usual PT and MT models or are working toward ideal health, performance, aging, and biomechanics.
We want to leave the hour-long sessions for manual therapy. Please visit jenniferspitzpt.com for our 10-week email journey to get started on your health today! It is a compilation of nutrition, foundational exercises, and meditations that everyone can access. I created this program by organizing what I have used in practice over the last 25 years.
In 1999, Jen pursued a training certification program with Sharon Weiselfish Giametteo called Integrative Manual Therapy. This comprehensive program includes myofascial release, muscle energy technique, visceral or organ release, cranial sacral, and somatic release techniques. She worked directly with her mentor for immersion-level understanding in multiple centers in the US for more than 10 years.
Till has been working with this method, directly training with Jen and others, for 6 years. He came to the table with previous meditation and embodiment practices.
Jennifer Spitz PT, CN, IMTC
Jen graduated from the Northeastern University Physical Therapy program in 1996. Her initial passion for athletes (competitive swimming and collegiate rowing) expanded into a more holistic approach after her injuries and medical issues guided her learning and practice in a different direction.
During this learning pursuit in 2002, she was introduced to the GYROTONIC® exercise method, primarily used for muscle reeducation or therapeutic exercise.
She has completed:
Level one certification foundation coursework and certification.
level 2 course work
Applications for pelvic girdle course.
GYROTONIC® is a registered trademark of Gyrotonic Sales Corp and is used with their permission.
Additional experience includes three years working under the leadership of International expert urologist Jerome Weiss, MD, at the Pacific Center for Pelvic Pain. Here, she gained experience in the complex issues of male and female pelvic floor conditions.
Till Cremer, MT
Till has been working with Jen for 3 years, has become a certified massage therapist, and has focused on the osteopathic methods utilized in Integrative Manual Therapy.
He is a bodyworker with an LMT certification from Bancroft School of Massage in Worcester, MA. As a PhD chemist, Till brings a unique blend of scientific knowledge and a deep passion for understanding the human body to his practice. His journey of healing from health issues and his experience as an athlete have fueled his interest in physiology, movement, and biomechanics, leading him to pursue training as a massage therapist and bodyworker.
Do we take insurance?
No.
Why?
I provide everything you need to bill your insurance for reimbursement for any out-of-network benefits you have. HSA cards also work.
If I play the insurance game, I spend a lot of time on the phone, which takes away from my time doing what I do best and adds to the cost of running my practice to you.
Before coming, please check your plan (call the number on the back of your insurance card) so you know what to expect for reimbursement. You may need a referral from your MD. Call and ask about your plan.
I do not need a prescription or a referral to see you, but you may need one to complete your insurance reimbursement paperwork.
